The Youth Barrel Race will be run in a 4D format with 1D being the fastest, 2D =fastest time plus 0.500 second, 3D
= fastest time plus 1.000 second and 4D= fastest time plus 2.000 seconds, the incentive races will use this 4D
format also.

T3P will payout 70% of all entry fees and 100% of all added money.
Incentive Races: All incentive races will pay out in a 4D format. Your time from the 5D Open Barrel Race will be
carried over into the incentive race that you enter.

5.  Check In- Upon arrival, please take care of checking in to any stalls or RV’s at the stall office. All contestants
should also confirm their draw position and pick up your contestant packets.
6.  Stalls & RV’s - There are 350 stalls at the Beauregard Parish Civic Center that will be available for a weekend
rate of $40.00.  Stalls will be $20.00 per night or $40.00 per weekend.  Shavings will be available for purchase on
the show grounds. No portable panels or tying horses to your trailer overnight, if stalls are available. Stalls will not
be pre assigned at T3P events.  Additionally, the facility offers 20 full service hook ups and 52 with water and

7.  Dress Code - Long Sleeve shirts, western hat or helmet, UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED ON ENTRY FORM.
Contestant must wear jeans and boots or heels down shoes.
8.  Sportsmanship - All contestants and their family members are expected to display good
sportsmanship at all times. No level of abuse toward any animal or human at any T3P events will be
allowed. Foul language, misconduct or abusive comments spoken to or posted online towards any
contestant, spectator, staff member or arena personnel will result in immediate contestant
disqualification and no refund of entry fees. Contestants are also responsible for traveling companions
and their family members.  NO EXCEPTIONS! Once disqualified, contestant must leave immediately.
9.
Vendors - There shall be no selling of any type of merchandise or professional service on the
arena grounds, in stalls or at trailers without a vendor contract with T3P. Vendor fees will be $100.00 for
the weekend rate.
10.  Gate Calls - Contestant should check in to the Gate Man located at the back next to the alley way. If
the contestant is not in the arena by the 3rd gate call, the contestant will be disqualified. If the
contestant attempts to enter the arena but is unable to get the horse down the alley way, the gate man
will give the contestant 60 seconds to enter the arena. At the end of 60 seconds, if the horse has not
broken the plane of the arena at the end of the alley way, the contestant will be disqualified.
In the case that T3P has a holding pen, contestants will be asked to enter the holding pen during the drag before
their turn to run. Please no help horses in the holding pen. We will ask that only the five (5) horses in the drag be in
the holding pen.  Once your name is called and you exit the holding pen, you will have 60 seconds to break the front
plane of the arena.
The back plane of the alley will be clearly marked using cone or flagging/bandana on the fence, etc. The markers'
location will be announced prior to the start of the event. The contestant is the liable party for making note of the
physical location of the markers and the distance between the markers and the holding pen gate. In the event that
the contestant does not have the opportunity to make note of this prior to the start of the event we encourage the
contestant do so, but on foot, during a drag, and to be respectful of contestants who are reporting to the holding
pen.
In the event that the contestant would like assistance from the gate worker to comply with the 'back plane' of the
alley rule the following procedure is requested (alternatives are listed):
(a) Enter the holding pen timely and Allow ALL five contestants in your drag to enter BEFORE   you/your
representative respectfully make contact with the gate worker. This allows the staff to complete their job and secure
the holding pen.
(b) Make sure you identify yourself by your draw number AND name.
(c) Make a reasonable and VERY specific request from the gate worker. No reasonable request will be denied. You
can bring your own assistance in the holding pen/alley. The gate worker has the authority to disqualify.
(d) The contestant is responsible for making the gate worker aware of any behavior that is typical of the horse if
they are requesting assistance.
(e) The contestant may request back gates to be shut if available.
(f) The gate worker will enforce the '60 second/3 call' rule even if assistance has been requested and is being
rendered.
(g) The gate worker (acting in the best interest of T3P, other entrants, and/or to promote a positive reflection on the
sport of barrel racing) will be allowed to use his/her discretion and excuse any contestant who they believe to be
endangering themselves, their horse or any other person or horse. The contestant will exit the alley immediately.

not compete on it more than once per class. For example: Jordyn and Kyndal can both enter on Fancy
in the Youth Barrel Race and in the Open Barrel Race, but Jordyn can not ride Fancy twice in the Youth
Barrel Race and Kyndal can not ride Fancy twice in the Open Barrel Race and vice versa.
14.  Only one horse in the arena, or alleyway at any time during competition unless you ask another
contestant to help you get into the arena.
15.  Re-runs shall be granted if the timers fail to work properly or if the barrels are not placed properly
on their markers. Any penalty incurred on the original run shall not be applied against the rerun;
however, any penalty occurring on the rerun shall result in a “no time”.
16.  Contestants who are given a “no time”, either for missing the pattern or knocking down a barrel,
may complete the pattern. However, show management may, at its discretion, ask a rider who is taking
excessive time to train to leave the arena immediately.
17.  If any contestant’s times are tied, the prize money will be split equally. A run off or flip of a coin
between the tied contestants will determine the tie for any awards.
18.  Turnin’ 3 Productions reserves the right to postpone any barrel race due to a natural or man made
disaster. Any time of the year severe weather can occur such as a hurricane, snow, sleet or ice, may
result in a cancellation. We do not like to put these conditions on any event. Any monies collected will be
refunded. If any event is postponed, we will reschedule it for a future date. No postponement or

contestant will be put on the ineligible list.
21.  If you pre-entered and wish to change riders under emergency circumstances you may do so until
the first 25 runs before your draw number  with a $15.00 fine. Keep in mind, once the original
rider has been changed they may not participate on any other horse during the event.
22.  Contestant hereby irrevocably grants full permission for Turnin’ 3 Productions or others affiliated
with and authorized by T3P, to use and publish any photographs, video tapes, or movies taken of

earnings to equistat.
25. ALL HORSES MUST HAVE A CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST. BE PREPARED TO SHOW
YOUR COGGINS PAPERS IN THE SHOW OFFICE.
26. DRAWING OUT: A draw out refund for entry fees, stall fees, and rv fees, less the processing fees will
be granted to qualifying contestants for vet outs and doctor excuses. You must provide a form from
your vet or a Dr. excuse. Your refund may not be able to be requested at the show, in that case T3p has
up to two (2) weeks after the date of the show to mail your refund to you.
27. Dress Code will be enforced.
28. The contestant does not have to be present to receive awards, but awards will not be shipped. If a
contestant has left the premises before collecting their awards he/she may either designate a person to
pick up the awards for him/her or make arrangements to collect the awards at another event. In the
event of a tie for Average awards, the tie will be broken by the first race times. The contestant who ran
the fastest time in the first race will receive the awards.

Management reserves the right to change or adjust any rules as deemed necessary .
