TURNIN' 3 PRODUCTIONS, LLC. WAS CREATED BY HEATHER BERTRAND UNDER THE
OWNERSHIP OF GARY AND HEATHER BERTRAND OF OPELOUSAS, LOUISIANA AND BRINGS
TOGETHER NEW AND FAMILIAR FACES WITH YEARS OF BARREL RACING EXPERIENCE.
Turnin’ 3 Productions, LLC. (T3P) is an organization formed to promote the exciting sport of
Barrel Racing and its growth in the state of Louisiana. The goals of Turnin’ 3 Productions are to
increase the number of participants, improve the quality of shows and enhance the image of
barrel racing. Turnin’ 3 Productions also promotes youth participation and co-ed competition.
Turnin’ 3 Productions would like to strongly encourage the expansion of equine related activities
that would help increase the economic impact of the horse industry across Louisiana. Promotion
of the horse industry in Louisiana is not only vital to the industry itself but it is vital to the State
economy.
Turnin' 3 Productions, LLC. was also created to give barrel racers in the state of Louisiana
“Great” 5D barrel races to attend. The 5-D format has become quite popular in barrel racing, but
if you're new to the sport or haven't shown using the 5-D format, here's how it works: all riders
race in the pattern and FIVE division brackets are determined by the overall fastest time. The
fastest riders make up the first division; riders in the second division are half a second or slower
than the overall fastest time; riders in the third division are one second or slower than the overall
fastest time. Riders in the fourth division are one and a half seconds or slower than the overall
fastest time; riders in the fifth division are two seconds slower than the overall fastest time. The 5-
D format allows horses and riders of varying experience levels and abilities to succeed within an
appropriate division.
